Natural State Mental Health is organized as a social welfare organization under Section 501(c)(4) of the Internal Revenue Code, or the corresponding section of any future federal tax code. Our primary purpose is to promote the common good and general welfare of the community by advocating for and educating the public on natural medicine options for mental health, with a particular focus on the therapeutic potential of psilocybin.
We believe that individuals should have access to a comprehensive range of safe, effective, and evidence-based mental health treatments, including those derived from natural sources. Through research, public education, and legislative advocacy, Natural State Mental Health aims to:
Advance the understanding and acceptance of natural medicine in mental healthcare: We will disseminate accurate, science-backed information about the efficacy and safety of psilocybin and other natural compounds for treating various mental health conditions.
Promote responsible and equitable access to natural medicine therapies: We will advocate for policies that facilitate the research, development, and regulated use of natural medicines, ensuring that these options are available to those who can benefit from them, regardless of socioeconomic status.
Engage in legislative and regulatory advocacy: We will actively work with lawmakers and regulatory bodies to shape policies that support research into natural medicine, facilitate its integration into mainstream mental healthcare, and ensure appropriate oversight and patient protections.
Natural State Mental Health is committed to improving mental health outcomes by championing innovative, natural approaches and empowering individuals with knowledge and choices for their well-being. Our activities will primarily focus on non-partisan education and advocacy, and we will not engage in any activities that would jeopardize our 501(c)(4) status.
